Now that is what I'm talking about.........

The long awaited Eastern Electric Minimax DAC Plus model has just arrived with us, and this hugely anticipated DAC has the all important Asynchronous USB to 24/192 !!

Do my eyes deceive me........

Reset The Rule Book

"Is this the most beautiful CD player on the market ?"......... an interesting question posed by my brother Mark when we first saw the All New Shanling CD-T2000 - we all know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I have to say that there is just something 'right' about the aesthetics of this new Red Book player from Shanling.

The beauty is certainly not only skin deep you'll be pleased to hear - oh no, this is a very special CD player indeed - using four 12AUX7's in the output stage (covering both single ended and balanced outputs), this Burr Brown 24-bit 192khz equipped unit offers up a simply superb balance of tonal delight, with a breathy, open mid-range full of sparkle and shimmer, but without the occassional 'hardness' that always comes to the fore with almost every other CD in this upper sector - it's natural, truthful and spacious with wonderful depth and timbre - you can guess I like it.......

At £1895 this is not a cheap CD Player, but given it's real world ability it is worth every single hard earned penny...........now what will it sound like when partnered to the Eastern Electric M88 below.............
