Amphion Prio 520 Loudspeaker

The Amphion Prio 520 introduces the new TAPS (Time Accurate Point Source) – concept. TAPS ensures perfect integration of the drivers and creates a time-coherent point source multi-driver combination.  A low crossover point of 1600 Hz together with precise voice coil placement allows drivers to act like one big unit.

The Amphion Prio 520 a slim two-way construction , which combines a new low distortion neodymium magnet driven titanium dome tweeter with a pair of 5.25 Nomex midrangewoofers. The in-room response in average room goes to about 40 Hz, while the measured response is about 50 Hz.

During the R&D phases of the Amphion Prio 520 range special emphasis has been put on optimising the system matching. Due to high sensitivity and carefully selected balance Prio 520 and 520 C can be used with a variety of signal chains with superb results.

Openness and engaging presentation can be enjoyed even with relatively modest equipment. Prio 520 really shines in high quality systems, where resolution and microlevel details are combined together with pinpoint imaging into breath-taking experience.

Prio is only 215 mm deep and its bass response can be controlled via reflex port adjustment, which allows one to position the speakers close to the back wall when needed.
