Argon 2 Anniversary

Even if Argon2's looks have remained unchanged since its the introduction back at 2002 the R&D under to surface work has been continuous and painstaking. The recent improvements to the waveguide, which took place during 2006, ensure a very even energy response througout the whole frequency spectrum. Many consider the Argon2 to be one of the best two-way mini monitors in the market and it is still used as a benchmark by many reviewers. Argon2 has received high praise by the press along with numerous awards and nominations.

Argons rigid baffle, which is made from Finnish birch (both birch and cherry versions), houses an Amphion spec 25 mm aluminium tweeter and high quality 6.5" aluminium cone woofer, which are both developed together with SEAS of Norway. To ensure seamless integration of drivers the crossover point lies at breathtakingly a low 1200 Hz! Despite the 86 dB sensitivity argon2 is an easy load for any amplifier, as the minimum impedance lies at 7 ohms. Argon2 is also highly suitable for multi-channel applications and can be even used as a center or as a main speaker with origo center speaker. Needless to say it integrates seamlessly with Amphion Impact 500 subwoofer.
