P-38F

Klipsch P-38F Loudspeaker

Introducing the Klipsch P-38F floorstander, along with the entire Palladium™ Series, Klipsch has established new standards for visual impact and audio excellence. In fact, this premium speaker is a pinnacle of modern-day horn-loaded technology, letting you hear and emotionally connect with your music and movies precisely as the original artist or director intended.

The Speaker as Sculpture
Designed with an eye toward home interior and furniture designs, the Klipsch P-38F has a signature style that blends classic Klipsch audio and a clean, contemporary look.

The floorstander’s unique enclosure hints at the power and performance inside, while maintaining a high degree of sophistication and beauty. Next to its shape, the most striking visual statement is the exotic zebra-grain Linia veneer that’s available in three different finishes: natural, merlot and espresso. The horizontal linear grain and absence of visible fasteners allows the Klipsch P-38F to elegantly complement your furniture and décor.

When in place, the two magnetically attached speaker grilles are designed to subtly reveal the classic Klipsch horns at the top and the hybrid drivers below; those who desire a more functional, powerful look may choose to remove them entirely to display the components. An adjustable brushed aluminum floating base supports the cabinet at just four points, rather than the entire area of the base. This raises the cabinet from floor level but maintains absolute stability.

From every angle, every perspective, the P-38F speaker is how luxury should look. It’s a treat for the senses—even before you hear it.

A Legacy Reborn
Since 1946, Klipsch has been synonymous with horn-loaded technology. And since then, we’ve been guided by the four design principles set forth by our founder Paul W. Klipsch: high efficiency, low distortion, controlled directivity and wide and flat frequency response. After just one listen, you’ll discover the P-38F represents the latest advancement in horn technology and purest application of those design principles yet.

Offering 3.5-way performance, the Klipsch P-38F speaker shares a lot of similarities with the larger, flagship P-39F, employing the same Tractrix® Horn-loaded midrange and super tweeter.

Unique to the Palladium Series is a carbon-infused, thermoset composite dual-horn configuration. It consists of a proprietary tweeter design, combining a chambered phase plug and Tractrix® Horn for extended high-frequency response; a second 90º by 60º acoustically dampened Tractrix Horn is coupled to the midrange driver, resulting in remarkably precise and detailed performances.

For superior bass performance, the Klipsch P-38F’s three low-frequency drivers employ 8-inch hybrid cone woofers, powered by a unique three-part neodymium magnet structure with dual stabilizing rings that reduce nonlinear flux. Four ports on the rear of the speaker enhance low-distortion bass response. Each woofer’s voice coil responds accurately to the smallest signal modulation, yet can also handle the high power of the most demanding soundtracks.

Many speakers of similar caliber rely on off-the-shelf drivers; every Klipsch P-38F driver has been engineered and built for their specific application. Years of research, development and testing resulted in a remarkable driver design that exceeds even our own high performance standards.
