The Aavik U-288 is a high-performance all-in-one integrated amplifier from Audio Group Denmark’s Unity U-x88 series. Drawing design principles and acoustic heritage from Aavik’s flagship 880 series, the U-288 seamlessly integrates a high-resolution network streamer, an advanced digital-to-analog converter (DAC), a precision line-stage preamplifier, and a powerful stereo power amplifier into a single, low-resonance chassis engineered for zero hysteresis and minimal inductance.
Delivering 2 x 300 Watts into 8 Ohms (2 x 600 Watts into 4 Ohms), the power amplifier stage handles dynamic peaks and demanding loudspeaker loads effortlessly via a sine-wave Resonant Mode Power Supply. The digital section processes high-resolution audio up to PCM 32-bit/384kHz, native DSD128, and full MQA decoding via USB, BNC, TOSLINK, and network streaming. Supported by Audio Group Denmark’s proprietary noise-reduction technologies—including 72 active Tesla coils, 144 active square PCB Tesla coils, 8 Anti-Aerial Resonance Coils, and 6 analog dither circuits—the U-288 lowers the noise floor to expose incredible micro-detail, acoustic depth, and natural musicality.
