The DUO NIVA CLD was born from our obsession to innovate and drive improvement, performance and value.

Aesthetically its easy to see how the DUO NIVA shares its DNA with our flagship BRIJ NEDAN 2.0 platform with whats become our trademark form factor.

The DUO NIVA set new standards in isolation at its price point and utilises Constrained Layer Damping (CLD), a method of damping usually afforded to much higher priced designs.

Constrained layer damping is a mechanical engineering technique used in the suppression of vibrations. A specially chosen damping material is sandwiched between two sheets of stiffer material called the constraining layers. The combination of the special damping material and the two constraining layers helps to dissipate vibrations within the damping material and across the stiffer constraining layers.

Our specifically selected middle constrained layer is a mineral, mass loaded vinyl. It is equal to Lead, of the same mass in its effectiveness and acts as a thin de-coupling sound blocker.
The three layers dissipate vibration by absorbing kinetic energy and effectively converting it into low-grade frictional heat.

Finally the DUO NIVA CLD is supported on our unique 'CircSink' foot bed and Sorbothane hemispheres. The combination of the 'CircSink' and Sorbothane provide extremely effective dissipation of energy.

Designing a product using this technology needs extensive testing of materials to produce a product that has the perfect balance of performance and cost. Our choice of materials has allowed us to produce an extremely slim platform whilst delivering high levels of vibration control.

The DUO NIVA can help improve all areas of audio reproduction by reducing disruptive vibrations whilst improving bass control, clarity and detail whilst increasing the sound stage.

The effectiveness of audio isolation isn't only limited to turntables and microphonic equipment such as solid state amplifiers, valve amplifiers and all digital equipment such as CD players, DAC's etc all benefit greatly from isolation so this should be a consideration when trying to improve youre system.

The DUO NIVA is supported on our 'CircSink' and Sorbothane hemisphere system, four feet on the model 35 and six feet on the model 50.
