Product Description

The Cayin CS-55CD is a stand-alone hybrid tube CD player developed to partner with the CS, MA and LA series integrated amplifiers. D/A conversion is accomplished by a Texas Instruments PCM5101 chipset, while the CS-55CDs analogue output stage uses a 12AU7 tube.

The CS-55CD utilizes a high-speed XMOS USB 2.0 receiving and decoding 32bit/384kHz high resolution digital signals together with high-quality audio operational amplifier circuits, with included USB input and remote.

The USB performance is further enhanced by the implementation of very precise Crystal oscillators - these 20MHz/31kHz silicon oscillators ensure that the highest possible USB performance is made available.

Musical stunner....

I was looking for a valve CD player, and came across the CS-55CD from CAYIN - I was not too familiar with the brand , but the reviews I did find all sang the praises of their range - fast forward to it now nestling sweetly in my set-up (Quad Pre and Power), and I can say without hesitation that this CD player has truly brought a wonderful new dynamic to my listening - it is organic and fluid, but has all the 'sparkle' that makes the music really sing , it also creates a somewhat three dimensional feel to the music, and I love that !

I have also been able to get even more performance with a change to the stock valve (12au7) - I have (on AE's recommendation) gone with a Golden Dragon valve, and it added another 10% for me - thank you again, I am a very happy chappy !

Having owned quite a number of solid state and valve CD players over the years , I feel well placed to make comment here - to say that I have been utterly thrilled to own this Cayin CS-55 would be an understatement - Audio Emotion said it would blow me away, and it has done exactly that .........

Delivery is free for all orders over £250.

'In Stock' items ordered before 1pm will be dispatched the same day.

We use DPD Local 'Next Day Service' for most UK deliveries. Orders sent via 'DPD Local - Next Day Service' will be fully tracked with a 1-hour delivery timeslot on the day of delivery. Standard delivery is Monday to Friday.

Saturday delivery can be selected at checkout for £19.95.

Small items and LP's may be sent using Royal Mail.

Large/heavy items may be sent using TNT Express.
