ClearwayX is the upgraded version of the popular Clearway range.

Hand built in the UK, ClearwayX ARAY RCA features ARAY conductor geometry, heavy gauge OFC conductors, upgraded XLPE insulation and dual-layer shielding.

ClearwayX RCA is fitted with ChorAlloy plated Chord VEE3 RCA connectors and is available in a variety of useful lengths. Custom lengths and terminations are available to order. Also available fitted with DIN and XLR connectors.

RCA version is ready for use with RCA-equipped turntables.

Compatible with all line level components, for example:

CD Players, streaming devices, DVD players, home theatre amps, tuners, phono stages, pre - power amp & RCA equipped turntables.

Chord have taken the design from the award winning C-line and upgraded all the materials to produce an outstanding value for money, high-performance analogue interconnect.

The ARAY geometry conductors are heavier gauge oxygen free copper, insulation has been upgraded to FEP and the shielding is a dual-layer counter-wound heavy gauge foil design. The Clearway RCA is fitted with Chord direct silver-plated VEE 3 RCA plugs.

The improvements mean that the Clearway carries more musical detail. Dynamics are better, instruments and voices sound more realistic and there is better definition and clarity. The Clearway will let you see further into and get more involved with the music you listen to.

Right now cables need to be better than ever, there are very affordable turn tables and digital players that deliver music with real coherence. The jump in performance over the past couple of years has been amazing, especially in relation to less expensive equipment.

They need a new generation of cables, and those cables need to be able to carry a signal with the musical coherence that the new digital and analogue players are producing.

This cable can also be supplied fitted with stereo mini-jack plug for use in portable systems etc. For any custom lengths not listed please enquire at sales@joeaudio.co.uk for this option.

If you're spending cash on hi-fi components and you want cabling that doesn't inhibit performance, the Clearway may be the ideal pick.

About the Brand

About the brand

The Chord Company was formed in 1984. It all started over dinner one night in Salisbury, when a group of visiting Naim Audio USA retailers asked Naim Audio UK for a good-quality DIN-to-RCA interconnect. At the table, was one Sally Gibb, then married to a Naim Audio executive, who made the (historic) suggestion that she make the cables and start a business. With the blessing of Naim Audio, the journey to make cables for America began.

With USA referring to cables as â€˜cordsâ€™, the name The Chord Company, with its obvious musical connotations, seemed perfect and it quickly stuck. Sally drew a logo, designed the packaging and started testing prototypes. Completely British design and construction, although difficult to source at the time, was paramount and days of searching eventually led to suppliers of sufficient quality. Friends at Naim Audio provided expertise and advice, with many of them helping to build the cables.

The first prototype was named "Chrysalis Cable" and the Americans swiftly returned with an initial order of 250! Cables were built, tested, packed and taken along to the Post Office. Invoices were typed on a typewriter! After two steady years, The Chord Company got its first press review (by Malcolm Steward) and then the phone started to ringâ€¦

Delivery is free for all orders over £250.

'In Stock' items ordered before 1pm will be dispatched the same day.

We use DPD Local 'Next Day Service' for most UK deliveries. Orders sent via 'DPD Local - Next Day Service' will be fully tracked with a 1-hour delivery timeslot on the day of delivery. Standard delivery is Monday to Friday.

Saturday delivery can be selected at checkout for £19.95.

Small items and LP's may be sent using Royal Mail.

Large/heavy items may be sent using TNT Express.
