In 2016 the name Miracord was re-established in the high-end audio community. 3 years and 3 product launches later, the Miracord 60 is ready to continue the unique ELAC Audiophile Turntable Saga.

The Miracord 60 was designed to bring the world-renowned and eye-catching design of the successful Miracord 90 to a new class of ELAC turntables. The result is a turntable that does not deny its lineage while emphasizing its individuality. The new Miracord 60 embodies the meaning of smooth vinyl precision to perfection and timeless, elegant design.

Inert MDF chassis

The 12 lb (5.5 kg) MDF chassis rests on specially developed silicone feet that decouple the deck completely from the surface on which it is placed.

Advanced carbon-fibre tonearm

The newly developed tonearm made of carbon fibre forms a perfect symbiotic relationship with the drive mechanism.

Precision platter with minimal friction

The aluminium platter weighs almost 14 lbs (6.2 kg) and sits on a sub-platter whose hardened steel axis rotates on an 8 mm ruby ball for minimal friction. The axis is mounted using high-quality sintered bronze bearing bushings.

Isolated motor and sophisticated suspension

The motor is double-decoupled from the chassis and, therefore, from the tonearm. Along with the rubber damping, the suspensions employed use materials that have proven themselves in the development and manufacture of ELAC loudspeakers.

About the brand

In a world of ever-changing brands, products and trends, ELAC builds on its heritage with vision to push thinking beyond the present. This is ELAC, founded on a commitment to making the best sound in the world. It began on September 1, 1926 in Kiel, Germany, when Electroacustic GmbH was founded to focus on the development of sonar technology and the research of signal and sound channels in air and water.

ELAC's passion for music and fascination with sound followed with their first consumer audio product, the PW1 record player in 1948. ELAC continued to lead the burgeoning audio industry with innovative turntables and electronics. During the 1970s and 1980s, every serious music lover had a high-quality turntable, and the fortunate few owned an ELAC, the backbone of the finest sound systems.

By 1984, ELAC began designing loudspeakers in conjunction with AXIOM Electroacoustic Speaker Specialists. One year later, ELAC's newly developed 4Pi omnidirectional tweeter, a driver that combined extended range with broad dispersion, bringing true “high endâ€_x009d_ to high-end audio. It turned the listening world on its collective ear and launched ELAC into the company of the most elite speaker manufacturers.

ELAC and innovation go hand-in-hand, and in 1993, ELAC introduced the JET folded-ribbon tweeter. With an expanded frequency response up to 35 kHz, the JET tweeter proved that a driver whose response goes beyond the limits of human hearing sounds better over its entire range. The JET has been continually refined and is featured today in both home and automotive applications.

Delivery is free for all orders over £250.

'In Stock' items ordered before 1pm will be dispatched the same day.

We use DPD Local 'Next Day Service' for most UK deliveries. Orders sent via 'DPD Local - Next Day Service' will be fully tracked with a 1-hour delivery timeslot on the day of delivery. Standard delivery is Monday to Friday.

Saturday delivery can be selected at checkout for £19.95.

Small items and LP's may be sent using Royal Mail.

Large/heavy items may be sent using TNT Express.
