Housed in a precision aerospace-grade aluminum chassis with a redesigned 8.6-inch LCD touchscreen display, the Master Gen 2 builds upon the acclaim of its predecessor by introducing an integrated custom CD drive for direct playback and ripping, an upgraded Wi-Fi 6 wireless engine, and an SFP optical fiber network connection for complete electrical isolation.
Driven by an AKM Velvet Sound™ dual-chip DAC architecture (AK4118EQ + AK4499EXEQ) and a high-performance octa-core processing platform, the DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 handles up to PCM 32-bit/768kHz and native DSD512 with extraordinary dynamic range and a near-zero noise floor. Its fully balanced analog preamplifier stage utilizes an R-2R resistor-ladder volume control to preserve tonal integrity at any listening level.
