The KLH Ultimate One is an extremely comfortable headphone. The combination of light weight, wide range of brand adjustability, adequate side-pressure, padded headband and large over-ear ear pads make it easy to forget you are wearing headphones, the KLH Ultimate One deliver a classic large-diaphragm dynamic driver sound. The soundstage is large, cohesive, and dimensional. The KLH Ultimate One reproduced all subtleties of the recording. One specifically attractive aspects of the KLH Ultimate One's sound was an extremely natural and relaxed sonic presentation that always sounds musical. After a couple of minutes, you may find them hard to take off...

Presented in such a way that I almost felt I could stretch out and arm and touch it. Presentation was musical and engaging. Playing is an absolute joy and with the Ultimate Ones I just sat through the complete performance uttering a silent "yes!" along the way at what he did. Mournful solo bassoon in the middle section, a soaring of woodwinds like birds in flight, and castanets... with subtle dynamic, spatial detail, while showing off a bright, clean table. The Ultimate Ones exactly pinpointed their position in the soundstage with exquisite transparency, along with real weight to the double-basses - superb! The One's insightful and engaging sound will surely win out.

These are my “daily driver” headphones for use with phones and laptops, simple as that. My highest recommendation is “this is what I choose to use myself.” At $299, I consider the performance of these headphones to represent one of the best deals in audio.

About the brand

KLH is an audio company founded in 1957 as KLH Research and Development Corporation in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States, by Henry Kloss, Malcolm S. Low, and Josef Anton Hofmann originally to produce loudspeakers. KLH was once the largest loudspeaker company in the world, employing over 500 people and shipping over 30,000 speakers a year to retailers and distributors throughout six continents.

KLH has deep roots firmly planted in high-fidelity sound reproduction as a ground-breaking company of firsts, launching the first-ever high-selectivity FM table radio, Model Eight, the first full-range electrostatic loudspeaker, Model Nine, highly regarded by the audiophile community and picked by Stereophile magazine as "one of the twelve best loudspeakers ever built", the first portable solid-state record player named the Model Eleven, and introduced Ray Dolby of Dolby Laboratories, to the consumer product market through the first reel-to-reel tape recorder featuring the Dolby noise reduction, the Model Forty.

KLH also introduced some of the best selling loudspeakers in the world over the course of many years, most notably, the Model Five, Model Six, and Model Seventeen, featuring the acoustic suspension loudspeaker design originally developed by Edgar Villchur and our founder Henry Kloss.

KLH was purchased by David P. Kelley, longtime Klipsch and VOXX executive, in 2017. He moved the global headquarters to Noblesville, Indiana.

Delivery is free for all orders over £250.

'In Stock' items ordered before 1pm will be dispatched the same day.

We use DPD Local 'Next Day Service' for most UK deliveries. Orders sent via 'DPD Local - Next Day Service' will be fully tracked with a 1-hour delivery timeslot on the day of delivery. Standard delivery is Monday to Friday.

Saturday delivery can be selected at checkout for £19.95.

Small items and LP's may be sent using Royal Mail.
