Kula is an a la carte modular design creating a fusion of highly technical previous accomplishments. The chassis itself is borrowed from the acclaimed Makua preamp, as is the line stage section and its optional phono stage with independent adjustable settings and up to 6 separate inputs. The optional DAC section which also is available in the Makua, is identical to the world-class Tambaqui stand-alone unit and features 5 digital inputs including Roon endpoint and Bluetooth. Additionally, the Kula incorporates a Mola Mola exclusive amplifier which boast an output of 150 Watts @8, doubling into 300 Watts @4. Clearly enough power to drive any speaker with ease.

The Kula is one of those amplifiers that's so easy to enjoy you rapidly take for granted all the good things it's doing. . . the solidity and focus of the soundstage it creates. . . the ease with which it paints instrumental and vocal timbres, and the effortless dynamics.

But most of all, it's the way the amp just gets out of the way to the music. Whether playing via the conventional analogue or digital inputs, or feeding it with Roon, the Kula lives ups to its manufacturer's claims both transparency and 'putting the music first'.

Its combination of deep bass reach and speed. . . carry the listener right through. . . big and magnificent in the hands of the Kula.

Delivering bags of presence. . . effortlessness. . . delivering a fine impression of the instrument in the spacious studio acoustic.

Creating a glowing, attractive sound that encourages the listener to keep on listening. . . If the Mola Mola Kula were a novel, you'd be hard pressed to put it down.

About us

Mola Mola embodies the idea that once you've removed everything that isn't the music, that what remains is the music.

This is radical. Today's high-end audio has become all about mixing circuit topologies and parts to make a sonic blend that the designer thinks "sounds about right". You'd almost forget that getting closer to the sound as crafted by the artist really means keeping the replay system from changing it.

Turning this simple insight into hardware is probably the toughest way to do audio. All simple circuits change the signal audibly, so one has to get to grips with more complicated ones that don't. We analyse every sub-circuit mathematically and look for ways to eliminate every error term. When the practical circuit measures as predicted, we listen to search for unexpected sources of coloration. These are then included into the maths and the whole process repeats.After every stage has proven immaculate performance, the same is done with the whole product and so problem spots get methodically rooted out before they hide themselves and become "audible but not measurable".The result is something never before heard of in high-end audio: amplifiers and converters whose output signal cannot be distinguished, by ear, from the input signal. So what does that sound like? In a few words: natural, nimble, rich and musically enthralling.

'In Stock' items ordered before 1pm will be dispatched the same day.

We use DPD Local 'Next Day Service' for most UK deliveries. Orders sent via 'DPD Local - Next Day Service' will be fully tracked with a 1-hour delivery timeslot on the day of delivery. Standard delivery is Monday to Friday.

Saturday delivery can be selected at checkout for £19.95.

Small items and LP's may be sent using Royal Mail.

Large/heavy items may be sent using TNT Express.
