The Amplifier Performance 2A3 MKII can be used both as integrated amplifier or as stereo amplifier. It is the proof of the know how reached by New Audio Frontiers circuit design team.

Using particular solutions for maximum symmetrical circuit design,  we managed in obtaining 12W on 8 Ohm which ensure a great dynamic impression even on the most difficult musical pieces. Each single part of the circuit has been at first planned, then optimised with the aid of computer based simulation and then bench-tested and tuned-up in order to obtain the best performances with sophisticated instruments.

This lead us to use a dual-mono configuration, with fully regulated power supplies even for the power stage that has a completely dedicated power supply. We designed a particular voltage regulator module that will be able to give a constant low output impedance and that at the same time will not reduce the sound quality. In designing this circuit we have paid a particular attention in the attenuation of the disturbances at the input of the amplifier that today are more and more a problem in a domestic environment.

This become evident also by the use of electrolytic capacitors of huge capacitance (1360uF total on output stage power supply, a record value for a tube amplifier) and by the use of an inductive filter. In order to maximise output power and dynamic we decided to configure the output stage in Push Pull with fixed bias. This choice improve the overload-recovery of the amplifier ensuring a better behaviour during dynamic peaks at high listening level.

The driver stage is composed by differential amplifiers with current source that allow us to cancel intrinsic non linearity's of the amplification elements. This allows to have a very low distortion level in output of the amplifier until clipping. All the circuital choices and components has then been confirmed by many listening sessions that allowed us to put on sale this product.

This integrated amplifier is recommended with loudspeaker having a sensitivity of at least 95 dB and has 5 line inputs. This amplifier was designed to be paired with speakers with a high efficiency type.

The sound quality is indescribable for its naturalness, leaving space to the sound and offering a rare example of great musical breath.The output transformers are of the highest level, hand wound using copper litz wire. They are built with core in M0 (the M0 is the thick of core in 0,1mm) and the winding is double wire for avoid the parassistic oscillation and many loss into the core.
