All digital sources integrated or connected via one of the digital inputs use the audiophile DAC of the N-50 DAB, a SABRE32 from ESS. The integrated amplifier technology is highly modern as well: Pioneers own direct energy HD output stages offer transparent, natural sound and performance reserves that would have taken up the entire housing volume with conventional technology. The powerful output stages ease the only decision you have make yourself with the NC-50 DAB: simply combine it with the speakers that are the perfect match for your listening and interior design tastes. Your system is certain to combine maximum quality and program diversity in the space of a single hi-fi component. If nostalgia should seize you anyway, nothing stops you from connecting a record player. All digital diversity aside, we also thought of analogue inputs and even a phone input.

MQA

• The higher the resolution of digitally stored music, the greater the amount of data required. The revolutionary master quality authenticated (MQA) lossless format provides the sound quality of a master recording, but also makes much smaller data quantities possible through its very efficient, loss-free method of compression. You can therefore easily play high-resolution music directly from the internet on your player. MQA is also backward compatible with the FLAC format and can thus be played on any FLAC-compatible device.
