Pro-Ject EVO CA Premium Tonearm

The Evolution range of tonearms from Pro-Ject Audio Systems are some of the most coveted tonearms on the market. Available in 9", 10" and 12" lengths, the Evolution models offer flexibility, reliability and great sound for a competitive price.

THE EVO CA PREMIUM TONEARMS
The all-new EVO CA Premium tonearm range features the latest and greatest technologies founded by Pro-Ject. Over years and years of development and testing, these tonearms are a perfect upgrade for your turntable. Featuring new finishes and many additional improvements, such as the massive stainless steel bearing block, solid inner tonearm bearing design and high purity silver inner wiring.

Most importantly, a sandwich construction of carbon and aluminium results in an even more resonance resistant tonearm tube and increased effective tonearm mass.

THE DESIGN
The EVO CA Premium range comes fully equipped with a carbon/aluminium tonearm tube with conical shape ensuring that resonances are eliminated and that the moving mass of the tonearm is reduced. Inverted Swiss ABEC 7 quality 4 stainless steel tips in cardanic ball bearings.

This premium bearing arrangement ensures the installed cartridge can pick up even more of the delicate musical information in the record groove.

Not forgetting the hybrid tonearm tube with a one-piece carbon fibre layer wrapped around an aluminium inner-tube. The result is a tonearm with slightly higher effective mass than the standard CC version, improved damping, and better electrical isolation.

EVO TECHNOLOGY
The new EVO range is a big comprehensive family allowing you to find a tonearm with the effective mass and choice of materials that suits your cartridge the most. Offering the lightest options with a pure carbon tonearm tube to the slightly heavier carbon-aluminium sandwich constructions up to S-shape aluminium tonearms with SME-headshells allowing for fine-tuning the weight even more, by experimenting with different headshell materials.

The EVO CA Premium is supplied with two damped stainless steel counterweights in the box, capable of finer setting adjustments, suiting most cartridge weights. Additional counterweights are available.

Available in 9, 10 and 12 lengths, and Premium versions with stainless steel bearing block, silver tonearm wiring, and improved bearing block and counterweight design, this is the most complete tonearm range on the market right now.

About the brand

Pro-Ject Audio Systems was founded in 1990 in Vienna, Austria, by Heinz Lichtenegger - a young audio enthusiast who believed that analogue playback was the most cost-effective way to listen to music in audiophile quality.

Heinz’s belief in the importance of the turntable came to prominence during a time when vinyl was at death’s door - with the CD revolutionising the wider audio market. However, Heinz stood firm and argued the case for not only analogue replay - but also for the pride and sense of ownership and interaction you simply do not get with digital media. So with this belief, he produced his first turntable - the Pro-Ject 1.

The Pro-Ject 1 was a cost-effective true hi-fi turntable, made at a time when other manufacturers were reverting to cheap plastic alternatives in order to satisfy the dwindling demand. The 1 was made at Pro-Ject’s factory in the Czech Republic (SEV Litovel), at a time when the factory owner was just in the process of shutting down all turntable production. Heinz convinced the factory to make his products, and to this day the same factory is used to produce Pro-Ject’s extensive range of coveted hi-fi turntables.

We use DPD Local 'Next Day Service' for most UK deliveries. Orders sent via 'DPD Local - Next Day Service' will be fully tracked with a 1-hour delivery timeslot on the day of delivery. Standard delivery is Monday to Friday.

Saturday delivery can be selected at checkout for £19.95.

Small items and LP's may be sent using Royal Mail.
