Product Description

New TD 202 completes the new series of manual plug and play turntables. Compared with its smaller brother TD 201 it comes with a more massive plinth and a AT 95E cartridge.

The integrated phono stage includes an additional analogue/digital converter with USB out. So the record played will be automatically digitized and can easily be recorded on a computer using several kinds of recording software that can be downloaded from the web.

HIGHLY COMMENDED

Smooth balance... I was nonetheless impressed... sound was still both engaging and insightful... speed stability is excellent, rumble very low and the arm/cartridge tracks securely...this deck lets you enjoy the fundamentally pleasing sound of vinyl.

Offering up the music with a goodly amount of get-up-and-go.

You get a peppy sound that's generally clean and open... the TD 202 properly got to grips with the bass. The midband is this deck's core strength. I enjoyed the way that the lead vocal line appeared in the centre of the mix, with a very natural texture... had plenty of energy and impetus.

The music flowed well, the massed strings sounding vibrant and alive - tangible even.

About us

Thorens is the oldest name in entertainment electronics, founded in 1883 by Hermann Thorens in Sainte-Croix, Switzerland. An initial producer of musical boxes and clock movements, they started producing Edison-type phonographs in 1903.

In 1928, Thorens produced their first electric motor-drive record player, and went on to produce a range of audiophile record players in the 1950s and 1960s which are, even today, regarded as high-end audio equipment, and are much sought-after. During the 1960s the company moved to Lahr, Germany. Thorens continues to produce well-regarded turntables to this day.

Delivery is free for all orders over £250.

'In Stock' items ordered before 1pm will be dispatched the same day.

We use DPD Local 'Next Day Service' for most UK deliveries. Orders sent via 'DPD Local - Next Day Service' will be fully tracked with a 1-hour delivery timeslot on the day of delivery. Standard delivery is Monday to Friday.

Saturday delivery can be selected at checkout for £19.95.

Small items and LP's may be sent using Royal Mail.

Large/heavy items may be sent using TNT Express.
