The Standard Taga Distribution Block

The standard Taga and HiRez Taga are essentially the same in terms of topology. The differences being the quality of materials and the level of Vertex anti-microphony, RFI and EMI technology applied.

In the standard Taga, the main wiring employed is our standard SPOFC/PTFE. The wiring travels from the rear of the Furutech IEC inlet into the ‘Roraima’ module where it passes through an acoustic absorption labyrinth. It then exits this module and feeds each socket in a parallel ‘star wired’ configuration.

The other module within the unit is the shunt filter. When designing the Standard Taga we decided that because of the overall value and importance of the product, as a central hub in a customer’s system, it should have the ‘silver Jaya’ level of filter (not the standard Jaya circuit). So it has this level of filter incorporated, wired up with solid-core silver wire too.

The Standard Taga is one of the best selling products in the Vertex range. As customers start on the Systematic Approach upgrade path, their dealers discuss and advise about the use and benefits of the Standard Taga as a key element in that upgrade strategy. So, many customers try the Standard Taga, and not many of them get sent back. The immediate effects of the reduction in RFI and microphony down 6 lines in a system’s mains loom is usually very profound.

All of the components benefit from a reduction in RFI background noise and hash, and the anti-microphony effect lowers intermodulation distortion in every box. Simply, the system opens up, becomes more transparent, consistent and more in-control. Scale and range are improved, and so is perceived bandwidth – the reduction in intermodulation lowers distortion particularly at the frequency extremes, so low bass is easier to follow and treble floats and sparkles with noticeably more air. Imaging improves also, with central vocals more clearly defined, big soundscapes have more width and depth – the sound clearly moves away from the speakers. And timing improves too, music is simply more propulsive.

All round we think the Standard Taga really is one of the best investments any customer can ever make in his system.

Delivery is free for all orders over £250.

'In Stock' items ordered before 1pm will be dispatched the same day.

We use DPD Local 'Next Day Service' for most UK deliveries. Orders sent via 'DPD Local - Next Day Service' will be fully tracked with a 1-hour delivery timeslot on the day of delivery. Standard delivery is Monday to Friday.
