The Violectric DHA V380 is a new top device in the Violectric range. It offers a state-of-the-art D/A converter and a balanced headphone amplifier and a pre-amp function.

The D/A converter is a new development and includes a 32-bit resampler / reclocker and two 32-bit D/A converters per channel.

The latest findings from the multiple test winners from Lake People, Violectric and Niimbus were implemented in the headphone amplifier. Violectric DHA V380 not only offers a powerful headphone amplifier, but also:

LOWEST NOISE - through a very small amount of internal gain. This makes the amplifier's self-generated noise inaudible

HIGH OUTPUT VOLTAGE - through 50 V internal operating voltage. Therefor ideally suited for high-impedance headphones deserving high output voltage swing.

HIGH OUTPUT POWER - thanks to powerful amplifiers that offer far more power even the most demanding headphones would need. So best suited for headphones with low impedances as well as magnetostatic headphones !!

HIGH DAMPING FACTOR - due to lowest output impedance. Therefor the ideal match for difficult to drive headphones without negative side effects and with the guarantee for a uncompromising frequency response.

one of the very rare components that makes no compromise

At lake Constance, the Violectric components are not only conceived but also build.

Fried Reim, Violectric’s mastermind, manages to square the circle: His DHA V380 -2 is a fantastic

sounding DAC and preamp, balanced and asymmetrical headphone amp at the same time!

With the Violectric DHA V380 there is no feeling that this unit is dancing on too many audiophile

weddings.

It is not only a headphone amplifier, but can also be used as an analogue preamplifier with balanced

output circuit and static DAC. Nevertheless, the construction makes a puristic, well thought through

impression.

Especially in the digital area, pretty much everything has been rethought in version 2

It is taken to the extreme in terms of Sound.

Data streams not only find their way via S/PDIF into the converter, Via USB-B even a maximum of 384

kHz is possible.

The Signals go through a jitter-preventing reclocking process and are upconverted to 32-bit.

DSD Signals up to DSD 256 are accepted by the USB input.

This procedure massively increases the dynamic distance to digitally generated noise and rounding

errors.

Even if it is only 16-bit CD sample rate. The 32 bits are then further calculated and brought to the

analogue level by ethe ESS-ES9026 -PRO converters.

Because there are two DAC chips per Channel a true symmetric conversion and analogue signal

processing are possible.

If you want to use the Violectric as a dual headphone amplifier and D/A converter for your high-end

system, you can use the balanced outputs and switch to a fixed output level.

The same ingenuity was put into the headphone amplifier section. Fried Reim’s goal was to develop a

driver stage that works perfectly with both balanced and asymmetrical connection, and always

sounds perfect regardless of the impedance and efficiency. This requires not only a very low-noise

circuit, but also a vey stable one. When high voltage is required, e.g. in the case of high impedance

headphones, the internal power supply through two toroidal trafos and 50 volts operating voltage is

strong enough.

The outputs are one classical 6.3 mm jack, as well as 4.4 mm Pentaconn symmetrical, as well as 4-

pole CLR.

The balanced outputs are driven by 16 Transistors, the unbalanced output by eight.

DHA v380 is also suitable as the control centre of your HiFi-System, three digital inputs and 2

Analogue inputs are provided. The amplification factor can be matched by a small keyboard for Pre-

Gain adjustment between the source and the amplifier.

This is highly recommended, because the V380V2 would otherwise mercilessly overdrive high-

efficiency mobile headphones / In-ears.

With it’s power the tonally very well-balanced and transparent Violectric, drives even high

impedance Hi-End Headphones. It gives these Headphones literally wings, they sparkle, get an extra

kick, much more contour and structure with an excellent bass response.
