It was smooth edged and free from rasp. Theme was big, fruity and forward... guitar taking on body, weight and timbral texture... tightly timed, vivid... giving fast strong bass... horns were meaty and sonorous, having conspicuous presence. Strings were smooth and mild. The performance was clear yet relaxing... there was a scale, a broad sound stage and again a feeling of solid presence.

Instruments have power, projection and a sense of weight. Highs are there but refined - ridiculously good. Get a listen if you can.

Outstanding - Amongst the best.

Verdict: Strong, projective sound with super-smooth highs. Big bodied yet accurate. A "must hear" - especially at the price.

it demonstrates some impressive low end. There's plenty to like about the upper registers too. Admirable transparency. The tonal realism remains extremely convincing... effortless top extension and dispersion... allows you to delight in the superb performance of the upper registers in a more emotive context. The more time you spend with it, the more you become aware of the fabulous detail retrieval it offers. Without ever sounding forensic or wearing, it manages to extract levels of information that are genuinely outstanding for a speaker under £1,000.

It teases out nuances of the band performing as a cohesive group that brings everything together in a way that is tremendously satisfying.
