[BOH-kay] [BOW-kuh] Open is ZMF's open, semi-portable, easy-to-drive, 80-ohm headphone. It incorporates trickle-down acoustic technology and the form factor from the rest of the ZMF line including the Atrium Damping System and Caldera Pads.

The BOKEH Open is a testament to ZMF's dedication to audio artistry, designed as an open-back headphone that invites you to experience sound with immersive clarity and depth.  The Bokeh Open is our first headphone that utilizes real solid wood for the Grille's on each headphone, currently with Purpleheart on the Nocturne Cups, and Bloodwood on the Emberstone version.

Crafted from SpectraPly, a birch plywood with vibrant color variations, the BOKEH Open showcases ZMF's commitment to natural materials, luxurious leather, and precise metal craftsmanship. Featuring our unique oval cup design and the Atrium Damping System specifically tuned for open headphones, the BOKEH Open provides an enveloping soundstage. Bokeh Open specific Caldera earpads, developed in harmony with the BOKEH Open, enhance this listening experience by delivering a balanced and refined audio profile.

An 80-ohm driver powers the BOKEH Open, pairing easily with devices from laptops to amplifiers, and revealing greater richness with more powerful sources. Choose from the striking Nocturne or Emberstone finish to make this headphone uniquely yours.

Currently, the stock wood for the BOKEH Open is Nocturne SpectraPlay. SpectraPly is made from Birch and is layered and colored for aesthetic effect. It's an industrial quality plywood that is extremely high quality and will withstand use and wear extremely well while keeping the natural chatoyance and luminescence of wood!  Slight pitting, resin marks, and witness lines will occur as natural variations and markings from the wood is innate to SpectraPly. Aesthetics will be consistent, but slight variations will occur in the grille color and color of the spectraply.
